Acerca de Sara
Initially I would like to introduce myself. I was born in Ecuador and I moved to Colombia. I was raised in a Colombian and Italian family, which makes me a cosmopolitan person who is open to other cultures.
I have discovered that my real aspiration and the activity that could make me feel fulfilled is to teach.
I have got 5 years’ experience working in an academic environment. Each position has help to growth as a teacher and be able to provide student with the best conditions for learning academic and life skills. I also gained working knowledge in Primary Years Programme and the teaching of guided reading through my previous employment. I have been trained in Singapore Maths, Making the PYP happen and Concept Based learning. Also, I speak English, Spanish and Italian.

As an educator, it is important for me to take into consideration most of the student’s needs and to try to promote the best conditions them in order to reach their full potential. I take into account students’ interests, capacities and attributes so that they can benefit from their learning experience.
I have recognized that pupils have different needs and styles while learning. This is one of the main reasons I use differentiation during my lessons. For me it is important that pupils develop their critical thinking. I will ask open-ended questions and use adequate resources, providing pupils with different materials to be engaged and ensuring they gain a better understanding.
