Acerca de Lix

I am a bilingual professional translator and interpreter with over 27 years of experience working extensively with the English and Spanish languages. Throughout my career, I have worked in specialized fields, including legal, medical, business, and professional communication, developing a deep understanding of linguistic accuracy, cultural differences, and effective communication.

My professional background has given me a unique perspective on how languages work, how meaning is conveyed, and why certain aspects of Spanish can be challenging for native English speakers.

As both a translator and an interpreter, I bring more than linguistic knowledge to my lessons. I bring real-world experience, cultural awareness, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others communicate confidently.

I understand that every student learns differently. My approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized, with an emphasis on making complex concepts easier to understand and helping students develop practical language skills.

I believe that learning Spanish should be an enjoyable and enriching experience, regardless of your age, background, or current proficiency level.

My goal is not simply to teach you Spanish, but to help you feel confident, comfortable, and empowered when communicating in a new language.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge, professional experience, and enthusiasm for languages with you!

Speaking and listening practice: Build the fluency, comprehension, and communication skills essential for examination success.

What makes my approach different?

As both a translator and an interpreter, I understand not only how Spanish works, but also how English speakers process language, interpret meaning, and overcome linguistic challenges.
