Acerca de Genevieve
Hi there! I’m a friendly native English speaker from Canada, currently living in Barcelona while completing my Master's degree. I absolutely love meeting new people and have a huge passion for reading, culture, and storytelling.
Because I am currently learning Spanish myself, I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to transition from studying grammar to actually speaking fluently. Living here has given me incredible opportunities to practice my Spanish through real conversations, and I want to provide that exact same supportive space for you with your English. Whether we are discussing interesting topics or proofreading your university essays and CVs, my goal is to make you feel completely confident and capable.

I help early intermediate to advanced students break through the fluency barrier and speak with real confidence.
If you already know the basics but struggle to speak fluently or write clearly, I am here to help you bridge the gap. You don’t need to have perfect grammar to work with me, we will focus on making your English natural, fluid, and practical for the real world.
How I Can Help You:
* Active Conversation Practice: Many people understand English well but freeze during a live conversation. We focus purely on active speaking practice so your mouth can catch up with your brain.
* Expand your vocabulary: We will discuss interesting, real-world topics you actually enjoy, whether that be hobbies, news, culture, your career or anything else!
* Real-Time Corrections: I will gently fix your pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar habits during our chats.
* Natural Alternatives: Learn daily expressions and idioms that native speakers actually use.
* Writing & Assignment Review: I proofread university essays, academic papers, work emails, and CVs to ensure your written English is flawless.
The Vibe:
Relaxed, friendly, and entirely tailored to you. Making mistakes is how we learn. That’s why my sessions are a 100% judgment-free zone.
Note: I also speak Spanish (B2), so don't worry if you get stuck or forget a word in English—you can say it in Spanish and we will figure out the right translation together!

¡Hola!
Relajado, cercano y totalmente adaptado a ti. Cometer errores es la única forma de aprender, por eso mis sesiones son un espacio 100% libre de juzgar.
Nota: También hablo español (B2), así que no te preocupes si te bloqueas o te falta alguna palabra en inglés. ¡Puedes decirlo en español y buscaremos la forma nativa juntos!
Disponible para clases online o presenciales en Barcelona.
