Acerca de Diego
Hello! I studied a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Physics at the University of Chile and have been working with young people and adults interested in scientific knowledge for over 20 years. My main interest is teaching classes focused on critical thinking and aimed at formulating questions appropriate to each student's neurocognitive profile, allowing for the co-creation of a personalized research and problem-solving mechanism. I work as a private tutor and science and mathematics teacher, focusing on academic remediation, preparation for standardized tests such as SIMCE and PAES, and supporting the writing of university papers and theses in Spanish and English. I have also developed teaching systems in schools and institutes through companies specializing in science and environmental education, as well as in partnership with social organizations, implementing low-cost alternative technologies to improve the use of local resources in both rural and urban areas of the country, focusing primarily on responsible water use and energy efficiency. I currently teach curricular enrichment programs for gifted students in the Los Ríos region of Chile, and also facilitate workshops and courses linking art and science at the university level. With social, communication, teaching, and training skills, I aspire to continue sharing initiatives that inspire more inclusive and accessible education.

With over seven years of experience strengthening the potential of talented young people at the Universidad Austral de Chile, my work as a Physics and Mathematics professor has focused for over 20 years on fostering critical thinking and the practical and creative application of knowledge. My work is committed to promoting interdisciplinary education, preparing new generations to face global challenges with an analytical, sensitive, and collaborative approach. Furthermore, through the connection between art and science, I facilitate workshops for young researchers that promote scientific outreach alongside artistic mediation, reflecting my passion for developing inclusive and innovative educational strategies that contribute to the social progress and cultural empowerment of our local community.
